Imagination Destination Music

believes in what we call a "circular teaching" philosophy.  Rather than presenting a lesson and hoping that the students will catch on, our teachers and research and development team endorses a style that ensures each student will achieve success in music.

Linear teaching tells us to present the material to be learned, and the student might succeed or fail.

In contrast, circular teaching encourages the teacher to present the material, observe the students and their learning styles, and then re-present the materials in a different manner to help the students succeed and learn!

Obviously, circular teaching is more demanding of the teacher, but the results are well worth the effort!  Each and every course developed by IDM, whether for children or adults, is created with this circular teaching ideal in mind.
